"Da Emy Farm" in Bois de Clin village is working in the genepy growing, the famous plant used by our ancient people to prepare the very good spirits called Genepy. Botanists call this plant Artemisia umbrelliformis, it has a nice aromatic scent and yellow gold flowers. It seems that it finds in Valsavarenche the right place, in fact usually you can find it until 3.000 mts high, while here is growing until 3.700 mts high on Grivola mountain, as explained in the book “Flora d’Italia” by botanist Pignatti. As a result, Emilia Berthod has a good idea in cultivating, drying and preparing this product. You can find this plant wrapped up in little bags directly in farm or in all Valsavarenche shops.
