Valsavarenche territory is 139 km. square large and its villages are between 1.200 – 2.000 mt. high. The valley has the characteristic allure of the mountains, with the wood, the grass and many torrents.

Mappa villaggi ValsavarencheThere are also ten lakes over 2.500 mt., and as many mountain passes over 3.000 mt. in fact Valsavarenche take the altitude typical of the highest mountains. Moreover, you can find here the highest entirely Italian massif, the Gran Paradiso,  reaching 4.061 mt.

There are many great attraction even in the valley bottom, the flow of the stream Savara for example, taking different shapes on its way. Going for a walk in the valley bottom is easy and enchanting and there are three ways.

The first one begins in the village of Fenille, to the left after the bridge ; you will cross the village of Bois de Clin (1.391 mt altitude), then the village Rovenaud (1.461 mt. altitude) then you will cross the main road to Valsavarenche.

Near the end of this first run, you can take the second one, a country lane that make you feel the enchanting and exciting atmosphere without effort. By this way you can cross the ski run that lead you until the village of Bien.

The last way begins at Chabod Refuge parking, at Terre’, after the village Eaux Rousses and after Le Fonsey picnic area. From there, you have to go by the main road to Le Pont. Where the stream Cote’ Savatere meet the Savara torrent, you can cross the little wood bridge on the Savara, then you cross a second bridge, taking the way that will lead you in Le Pont crossing ancient villages of Pessey and Donzel.
